Realisation of our sustainability management includes orientation to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations. We particularly focus on:

Well-being and physical integrity for all – this is the basis for a strong and healthy society, and therefore firmly anchored in our self-perception. Our research and development, especially in the field of medicine, make an important contribution to healthcare. Our products stand for extreme reliability, durability and ergonomic comfort, supporting the safe operation of devices and machines.
But we and our products do not only promote health in general: the well-being of our employees also has high priority. We believe in comprehensive occupational health and safety, and we systematically take initiatives to create a healthy and motivating workplace for greater staff satisfaction.

With our three divisions steute Meditec, steute Controltec and steute Leantec, as well as our cross-divisional research and development team, we promote industrialisation which is future-proof and sustainable. Our products and solutions are extremely durable – a feature which is crucial to sustainable value added. In addition, we reinforce fair and transparent supply chains to promote sustainability along the entire value chain. We also strengthen exchange in global partnerships through our membership of networks and associations.
SDG 13 – Climate action
It is our goal to reduce emissions from greenhouse gases and other harmful substances. To achieve this, we believe in energy-efficient processes and an increasing use of renewable energies at our production sites. At the same time, we are strengthening the resilience of our infrastructure and raising the awareness of our employees, customers and partners for sustainable behaviour.

At steute we are convinced: the best way to achieve sustainability is networking. This is why we play an active role in associations such as the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association (ZVEI), the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) or regional networks such as the OWL technology network.
Along our supply chain and with a view to our customers, we believe in strong networks and efficient processes: via the platform IntegrityNext, we publish all our sustainability and compliance activities with transparency and efficiency – providing our partners and customers with comprehensive information, but without the need for repeat data traffic.
